Herbs For Living :: Evaluating Your Supplements

  Evaluating Your Supplements

Marketing Words Have No Value

When searching for the best possible solution to our supplement needs, we must find an objective measure. The only criteria offered is subjective. Words that are created without validation to market a product. These words bring no measurable Validation to the nutritive value or potential results of a supplement.

Do the words "Cold Fusion™ FoodState®" guarantee your future health?

What does the word "whole food" mean in terms of your supplement needs?

Do the words "food based" make the difference between great results and failure in a nutritional program?

What does the word "organic" really mean when weighing the true nutritive value of a supplement?

Does the word "cultured" reflect the desired result in your optimal health program?

What do these words mean to our nutritional well being?

Will they guarantee the results we seek from our supplements?

Guaranteed Results

The value of a supplement begins with the handling of the raw material. The finished material is only as Valid as the weakest link in the processing. When dealing with raw materials, especially foods, there are a series of events that must be controlled for the finished product to be the highest quality. No matter what the intent of the finished product, Cold Fusion™ FoodState®, whole food, organic, cultured or food based, the condition and Quality of the raw materials used throughout the process is crucial.

The Crucial Events

The common events that must be considered when creating a Quality nutrient are growing, harvesting, handling in the field, initial processing, transport, storage, transformation into a tablet, consumption and delivering the material to the cells. If the material is mishandled during any of these stages the entire process is void. If any one phase of the process is invalid, then the final result is invalid as well.

Single Event Claims

You can make a claim based on a single event in the process such as being cultured, organic or Cold Fusion™ FoodState®. The important consideration is whether that single event ensures ultimate results. A word like "organic" is a measure of what happened to the raw material in the past. It is not a measure of nutritional value. Validation Documentation™ is a measure of the raw material now. True nutritional value should be measured through the support of laboratory analysis and Documented Validation.

Cold Fusion Assays

MegaFood's and Durham Research's mission, to create Cold Fusion™ FoodState® Raw Material, presented us with an interesting challenge. We wanted to include assays or tests of our final nutrient product to Validate its bioactivity and molecular structure.

There are no established protocols for testing this form of raw material. We did know from testing food that we would have to peel away the food matrix that surrounded the specific deliverable nutrient to get a measurement. This process was somewhat like peeling away the layers of an onion. Peeling without damaging the deliverable nutrient was a biochemist's nightmare.

This challenge was assigned to Russell Rines, PhD biochemist. Dr. Rines had extensive experience in Analytical Method Development. Using his expertise, we have developed assays on all our Cold Fusion™ FoodState® Materials. We can now Validate the specific molecule and the surrounding food matrix. We show through the following assays that our nutrients are extremely unique when compared to regular vitamins.

The first picture in our assay compilation compares a Cold Fusion™ FoodState® Nutrient to its regular vitamin free state fraction. As you can see the difference is profound.

Cold Fusion™ FoodState® Nutrients elevate nutritional supplementation to the next level. The following pictures, created by Durham Research will show you why.
